ThriftyNames Purchase Options and Cancellation Policy

This Purchase Options and Cancellation Policy applies to purchases from BrandBargain LLC, doing business as ThriftyNames (“ThriftyNames,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). It explains the cancellation terms for ThriftyNames Lease-to-Own Payment Plans and one-time Buy Now purchases. It supplements our Refund Policy and Terms of Service.

ThriftyNames Lease-to-Own Payment Plan

Eligible domain packages may be purchased through the ThriftyNames Lease-to-Own Payment Plan. Shopify may describe this recurring billing arrangement as a “subscription”; however, it is a finite payment plan that ends when the agreed purchase price has been paid in full, or earlier if the plan is canceled or terminated.

Payment schedule

Your first payment is due at checkout. By selecting Lease to Own, you authorize ThriftyNames and its payment processor to charge your selected payment method automatically each month according to the payment terms disclosed for the domain when you enroll.

Each regular payment is US$29. The final payment will equal the remaining unpaid balance and may be less than US$29. The total of the scheduled payments will equal the Buy Now price in effect when your plan begins, excluding applicable taxes.

No interest, plan fees, or credit check

ThriftyNames does not charge interest, finance charges, Lease-to-Own administration fees, early-payoff fees, cancellation fees, or late fees.

ThriftyNames does not request or review a consumer credit report or credit score when approving its Lease-to-Own Payment Plan. Our payment providers may still perform ordinary payment authentication, identity verification, and fraud screening.

Domain use and ownership during the plan

After the first payment has cleared and any necessary payment verification has been completed, ThriftyNames will configure the domain’s nameservers or DNS records as reasonably requested by you so that you can use the domain for your website and email.

Until the full purchase price has been paid, ThriftyNames remains the domain’s registrant and retains sole ownership and registrar-level control. Your right to use the domain is temporary and conditional upon the plan remaining active.

Before ownership has transferred to you, you may not sell, transfer, assign, pledge, encumber, sublicense, lease, list for sale, or grant another person rights in the domain.

Domain use and maintenance

You are responsible for all websites, email, content, services, and activities associated with your use of the domain. The domain may not be used unlawfully, fraudulently, deceptively, to distribute malware or spam, or in a manner that infringes another party’s rights or places the domain at material risk.

ThriftyNames will maintain the domain’s ordinary registration during an active payment plan without an additional plan fee.

Logo files

If the package includes logo files, the files will be delivered after the first payment has cleared. Until the purchase price is paid in full, delivery grants you a limited, revocable, nontransferable license to use the logo in connection with the leased domain.

Full ownership and the exclusive logo rights described in our Terms of Service transfer after final payment. If the plan is canceled or terminated before full payment, this license ends and you must stop using the logo and delete the supplied files.

Cancellation by you

You may cancel your plan at any time without an early-termination fee through the subscription-management link provided in your order emails or customer account, if available, or by contacting support@thriftynames.com.

Once cancellation becomes effective, no future payments will be charged and you will not owe the remaining unpaid balance. Payments successfully completed before cancellation are nonrefundable except where required by law or expressly stated below.

Once a plan is canceled, your right to use the domain and included logo ends. The domain’s custom DNS settings may be removed, which may cause any website or email using the domain to stop working. The domain will not be transferred to you, remains the property of ThriftyNames, and may be offered for sale again.

Failed payments and grace period

If a scheduled payment fails, we will notify you and may retry the payment. You will have 15 calendar days from the original due date to update your payment method and complete the missed payment. No late fee will be charged.

If payment has not been received by the end of that 15-day period, we may cancel the plan, remove the domain’s custom DNS settings, and make the domain available for sale again. Previously completed payments will not be refunded.

We may suspend domain use or terminate the plan sooner in cases involving an unauthorized payment, chargeback, fraud, illegal activity, security risk, or another material breach of this policy or our Terms of Service.

Early payoff and ownership transfer

You may pay the remaining balance early without penalty by contacting us.

Once the full purchase price has cleared, recurring billing will end and ThriftyNames will begin transferring the domain to the registrar account you designate. Most transfers take approximately 2–7 business days, although registrar or registry restrictions, verification requirements, or delayed customer responses may cause additional delays.

Failure by ThriftyNames

If, because of a problem within our control, we cannot make the domain available for use after your initial payment or cannot transfer it after full payment, we will cancel the plan and refund the amounts paid under the plan.

Third-party financing

The ThriftyNames Lease-to-Own Payment Plan is separate from financing or installment services offered by Shop Pay, Affirm, Klarna, PayPal, or another provider.

Any third-party financing service is governed by that provider’s own approval, payment, interest, cancellation, and refund terms.

One-Time Buy Now Purchases

This section applies only to purchases paid in full at checkout and does not limit the cancellation rights provided above for Lease-to-Own Payment Plans.

You may cancel a one-time Buy Now purchase for a full refund before either:

1. ThriftyNames initiates the domain transfer or account push; or

2. You access or download the included logo files.

Once either the domain transfer or account push has been initiated, or the logo files have been accessed or downloaded, the purchase is final and nonrefundable except where required by law.

If ThriftyNames cannot complete the domain transfer because of a problem within our control and no reasonable alternative transfer method is available, we will cancel the purchase and refund the amount paid.

Nothing in this policy limits any consumer right that cannot lawfully be waived.
